Raphaela Papadakis (soprano) and
James Sherlock (piano)

The Sutton House Music Society is pleased to invite you to our next wonderful programme on Sunday 15th February at 3pm at Sutton House.

Everyone who heard Raphaela in the Mondfleck Ensemble at Sutton House will remember vividly her charismatic performance of Pierrot Lunaire and Schönberg's Cabaret Songs. By popular request she returns with a delightful programme of songs by Schubert, Liszt, Franz and Whitley.

Each rising stars in their own right, soprano Raphaela Papadakis and pianist James Sherlock first collaborated in 2013, when they made their Carnegie Hall debut together. Since then, they have become regular partners and have delighted audiences in recitals all over the world. They are thrilled to be presenting a carefully chosen programme of some of the greater- and lesser-known songs of Franz Schubert, alongside epic works by his great admirer Franz Liszt, and a selection of beautiful miniatures by Robert Franz, a lesser-known composer whose first book of songs was championed by Schumann and Liszt himself. In the midst of all this exquisite German repertoire comes a world premiere by the extraordinarily talented award-winning composer Kate Whitley, which has been specially composed for Raphaela for this concert. You can hear Raphaela perform on http://raphaelapapadakis.com/media/. An event not to be missed!

Our last concert sold out so please do book in advance. Tickets: £12; concessions (proof required) £10; people under 26, disabled people and their carers free. Reductions for multiple bookings. Tickets can be purchased by clicking

The café/bar will be open before the concert and during the interval.
